Why choose an electronic locking system?
With an electronic locking system, the lock on each locker is wired separately. The lock then receives power via the grid. You can then manage, reserve, and release the lockers remotely. For this purpose, user-friendly locker management software is included. For this locking system, it does not matter whether you are dealing with regular or flexible users, or with individuals or teams. It is even the perfect solution for post lockers: lockers that allow you to safely distribute mail and parcels within your organisation.
Open via touchscreen or on the door
Whether your lockers are intended for regular or changing users: it is ideal if people can open their locker via a central touchscreen. WEWO Interior Concepts can customise this screen for you in detail. Would you prefer it if users can open their locker through the locker door? That is also possible.
Opening lockers: the different options
Opening lockers with an RFID, a pin code, or an app: if you choose an electronic locking system, all options are possible. Have you chosen an RFID? Then a user opens his or her locker by holding a badge, keycard, or key fob in front of the card reader. If you choose a pin code, the user opens his or her locker with a personal pin code. With an app (Android and iOS), users can open their locker by just touching a button on their smartphone. And finally, an electronic locking system combined with a QR code is also possible. Guests at an event can then claim a locker with the QR code on their ticket. And clothing lockers and post lockers are also very suitable for opening with a QR code.
Online locker reservation and payment
If you choose an electronic locking system, you can also use the online reservation system that WEWO Interior Concepts has developed in house. This allows users to easily select, reserve and if necessary, pay for a locker online. This is useful for events because it prevents crowds at the lockers. But in many other situations it is useful if users can already choose their locker at home, for example at schools. Students who are not present every day can reserve a locker for classes and lectures at home. On the day itself, the user is automatically linked to his or her locker at the right time.
Locker management software
If you choose an electronic locking system, you can add time restrictions in the locker management software. Lockers can be blocked, for example, when they are opened after a certain time. Or they can be released by default 24 hours after being put into use. If your organisation has multiple locations, you can manage all lockers at all locations using one convenient dashboard in the software. Moreover, you can print out various reports and integrate the software with other software packages you use.
