Why choose an RFID slot?
Do the staff in your organisation receive a badge or key fob for opening doors, turning on and off the alarm and perhaps other actions? Then opt for lockers with RFID. This means that employees can also open their locker with a badge or key fob. Whether it is a permanent locker, a flexible locker, or a team locker.
The benefits of a locker with RFID
A locker with an RFID lock has many benefits. First, there's the convenience and ease of use. Employees need their badge or key fob every working day, so they always have it ready to open their locker. RFID is also much more difficult to counterfeit than many other security techniques.
Furthermore, RFID is not affected by external influences, such as pollution or weather conditions such as rain, snow, or wind. This makes it a perfect solution for lockers located outside, for example in a bike shed or car park.
Your RFID media and lockers
The lockers from WEWO Interior Concepts can be linked to various RFID media, including Mifare, hid, Legic, SkiData, Multitag, Low frequency and Proximity. The software for the lockers is linked to your current database, so that the administrator can always see who has which badge or fob and therefore which locker is in use.
This database is integrated one-to-one into our software. Is anyone leaving the company? Then this only needs to be modified in the existing database. And good to know: if you use a package different to those mentioned, we will of course create a link for you.
Locker materials
The RFID lockers from WEWO Interior Concepts are made of wood or Volkern. Wooden lockers are finished with a strong top layer of HPL or melamine.
Functionalities for lockers with RFID
An RFID lock can be placed both on lockers with a battery locking system and on lockers with an electronic locking system. If you choose an electronic locking system, the lockers are delivered with user-friendly locker management software. For example, you can add time restrictions in this software. This means that lockers automatically block when opened after a certain time, such as: default after 0.00 or default 24 hours after putting into use.
In addition, a combination of RFID and a pin code is also possible, which of course offers additional security. This functionality is ideal when very valuable or dangerous items are stored in the lockers. This combination is used, for example, by the police to open their weapon lockers.
